Hakikat of Basant Panchami

This Basant Panchami, as we pray to the Goddess of Learning, it is noteworthy to learn about the teenaged Khatri boy Hakikat Rai Puri of Sialkot who was beheaded by a benevolent Maulvi on this very day in 1732!

This brave and highly intelligent son of Lala Bhagmal Rai Puri and Kora Devi was born in the year 1719. His strong intellect and sharp grasping power made his father send him to a Maulvi to learn Persian – the lingua franca of the times. The high praise that his brilliant performance fetched him from the Maulvi made one of his classmates (the son of the Maulvi) jealous. Provoked by an argument over some disconnect in spellings, the classmate falsely accused Hakikat of blasphemy. Hakikat denied having made any derogatory utterances yet he was arrested.

His father, the wealthy Khatri merchant Bhagmal, kept beseeching the Maulvis for leniency from punishment (Death or Conversion) but they did not relent. He was taken to Lahore on foot and not allowed to use any other mode of transportation even when offered by Hindus on the way. He was beaten and abused on the way. He reached Lahore after two days and was presented before the local Provincial Governor, Zakaria Khan who was the son of Abdus Samad Khan, the Governor of Sarhind, who had tortured Banda Singh Bahadur to death in 1716.

When the Governor confirmed the punishment, the fearless teenager asked the Maulvis if converting to Islam would make him immortal. When they responded in the negative, he queried aloud as to if that was not so, why would he even think of abandoning his great religion! Towards the end, even his distressed parents implored him to convert to stay alive but the brave teen was steadfast. He told his mother that it was she who had taught him that there is nothing greater than Dharma and he could not go against her teaching!

Thereafter, on the day of Basant Panchami, they started stoning him alive in accordance with the prescription in Sharia for blasphemers. Hakikat kept chanting ‘Ram Ram’ till he was half dead. At this time, a benevolent Maulvi beheaded him to save him from further pain.

A temple was made in his memory which is still standing in Lahore as a testimony to the valour exhibited by this precocious teenager on that Basant Panchami. Till the partition of India, Hindus used to assemble there and offer their respect at his samadhi.

This incident clearly illustrates the condition of Hindus in Mughal India and has been narrated by Ganesh Das in the Book Chahar Bagh-e-Punjab.

Basant used to be celebrated in Pakistani Punjab till as late as 2004. It was put to a stop by religious clerics and historians iafter the Pakistani newspaper Nawa e Waqt printed that Basant was a celebration of blasphemy committed by Hakikat Rai.

Before, I write why loosing Delhi would be a blessing to Shri Narendra Modi, it’s important to understand what is “Delhi”

DELHI, The Cocktail State

Delhi is a city of migrants primarily from Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, UP, Uttrakhand, Jammu, West Bengal, North East & South India. Delhi itself don’t have it’s native population. During many years of Congress rule, it was meant to believe that Delhi is India & India is Delhi. This was the hangover & wrong policy of Congress, which believe in central control of power then distributive development of India. This resulted into establishing of IIT, AIIMS & other institutions of excellence in Delhi, which resulted into migrants flowing into Delhi from other states for Education, Medical Treatment.

Delhi is just an Administrative Capital of India hence we have seen in & out of Babu category from various parts of India. Since the babu & political power reside in Delhi we see people coming to Delhi for all kind of work.

Historically Delhi being political nerve center, migrants from J&K & Pakistan preferred to relocate in Delhi and start their business. Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Rajouri Garden etc are few example of it & remember I am still not elaborating on JNU, labor union offices, Supreme Court & Corporate lobby associations like CII etc.

The above brief Introduction of Delhi explains why suburbs like Noida & Gurgaon came into existence. The ever growing migrants in Delhi need House, Schools, Industry, Hospitals etc. Delhi has limited land area locked all around by Haryana & UP hence the expansion resulted into creating NCR.

In early 90s Noida, Gurgaon & Faridabad started taking shape due to people who preferred open area to live, cheap land for Industry & Intuitions and today they become first choice for all these activities. Noida was first choice by Educational Institutes & Armed forces personals to make it more post retirement. Gurgaon became first choice by service industry & Faridabad by Industry.

This brief facts of Delhi is good enough to understand that it is not a simple state like Haryana, Bihar or even UP to manage hence the politics of Delhi is far more complex & unpredictable.

DELHI, The Political Hot Potato

Historically, Congress was able to rule Delhi not because of development agenda or to make it a World Class Capital but due to large support from Religious & Caste Groups. At the same time to be fair in my assessment as a political writer, I must say that Sheila Dixit Government contributed most but MCD, which was controlled by BJP is a disaster and BJP need to fix these bunch of Idiots with professionals who believe in merit and performance.

So now let’s understand what happens “if” BJP loose Delhi election, how it would be a blessing for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

If AAP win election, it will be declared as mass movement of common man in Delhi. The Indian Paid Media will make Arvind Kejriwal the modern day crusader who brought down mighty on knees. He will be a HERO and a virtual Prime Minister from 2019. The national Prime Time on TV will be reserved for Arvind Kejriwal. The spotlight of Bazzaru Media and people who don’t understand Modi working style are restless almost short of declaring Modi as a failure will shift on AAP.

The other massive benefit will be that after winning Delhi with a huge margin (which I hope AAP will get) Natwarlal will be forcibly hooked to Delhi and would be bound to deliver which for sure he will fail because he is not an administrator but Dharna Hooligan. This will prevent him from spreading his virus in rest of country assembly election and by end of his term in Delhi he will be fully exposed. As it say "To Win a WAR, you have to lose some battle"

Once Arvind Kejriwal Government is in office, the focus of Indian Bazzaru Media and its PIMPs will shift from Modi Sarkar to Kejari Sarkar. People who are restless and want the grass to grow under their feet will demand immediate results from Kejri. Unfortunately Arvind over hyped promises will become his neck rope. He will have no honeymoon period and would land up being monitored almost on hourly basis. The key areas for immediate action would be Corruption, Lakhs of CCTV, Women Safety, Power Cost, Free Water, WiFi, Health Care and the great VAT.

Unfortunately none of these can be done in days or months. They need few years to fix it. Just on power, Arvind Kejriwal will be exposed very soon. Delhi has limited generation capacity and rest is bought from other states. Technically, power production cost is more then 2.75/unit and he promised less then 2/unit. Water comes from Haryana which is BJP govt. He also promised millions of job but where they will come from is a question. He need to establish industries but where? Haryana or UP? Delhi has no land.

This media highlight will bring in massive relief for Modi Sarkar as the spot light will be on modern day crusader Arvind Kejriwal. Never forget Media is TRP business & fiction always has higher TRP, which is Kejri.

On Central Government side, Finance Minister is working on a radical tough budget, which now he will be able to implement quietly. A spot light shift will help Finance Minister to push unpopular reforms like disinvestment, subsidy etc.

On non-Government side the nationalist can mobilize foot soldiers silently for two big battles coming up in UP & Bihar. Also they can galvanize people toward Uniform Civil Court etc. For BJP Delhi is not that important as compare to UP & Bihar as they will give most of Rajya Sabha seats. Winning UP & Bihar will make BJP & more importantly Narendra Modi, Amit Shah & Arun Jaitly most powerful team in history of Independent India which will ensure Modi Sarkar beyond 2022.

I am quite sure that BJP is well aware of the fact that even if they win Delhi it will remain a pain point for them. It is important to note that the delivery of promises cannot be fulfilled due to in-fighting of inflated egoistic Neta of Delhi BJP and MCD Councillors, who have failed miserably over the years. This will make impatient supporters angry which will result in negative publicity, keeping in mind coming UP and Bihar elections, which are more important and critical to push reforms by Central Government.

If you remember, post Lok Sabha election BJP Delhi MPs were lobbying for Ministerial Post. Infact I did told one such MP to reframe from doing stupid self-promotion who also tried to position self for Chief Minister candidate.

So loosing Delhi battle is not such a bad idea for a larger national objective. Some times, one had to loose few battles to win a WAR. Success is not just about winning. Hence its better to have Arvind Kejriwal swim in mess & we look larger work and don’t forget Kejri can’t fulfill even a single agenda without BJP help or support.

Haryana is already in control of BJP, once UP fall in place, Women Security, Electricity & Water Issues will be resolved. So Kejri will get blamed for fooling people and BJP get credit for fulfilling it’s promise even after loosing in election. This would be a permanent solution to fix Bazzaru Media and Jihadi AAP once for all.

Delhi has no land left to develop. Now be it Power Generation, Water, Housing, School, Colleges, Hospitals, AAP Govt had to depend on Haryana & UP. Haryana is with BJP and SP government in UP will be useless as they themselves struggling for coming up election next year. By that time people daily monitoring of APP will kill them….. rest assured Shri Narendra Modi will have the last laugh. AAP Delhi win will also smoke out Anti Nationals, Communist, Naxals & the one who are on Payroll of ISI.

The latest tweet from one of AAP Leader prove that U-Turns of Kajri started even before election result. “Please check our manifesto. We have not promised anything free -Rahul Mehra”

Rest assured, if AAP form Government, The first thing would be “Modi Govt need to help us deliver” and after a year this would be Arvind Kejriwal situation.......

As I said above, here is my prediction coming true. Three U-Turns in less then 12 hours...., we will see many more U-Turns from "SANTA BANTA Sarkar" in days to come. Till then enjoy your free...... whatever.

and the NAUTANKI will go on ........because Arvind Kejriwal is the best in it.
